FAQ
How much time do I have to install the sod?

Sod is perishable! You have a maximum of 24 hours from the time the sod is picked up or
delivered.

When and how much should I water?

New sod should not be allowed to dry out! Water immediately after being laid. New lawns need
about 1" of water every other day for the first two weeks. In sandy soil conditions water every day
for one week and then alternate days. All new sod must be saturated immediately after
installation. If ground becomes muddy, skip watering for a day or two.

When can I mow?

You should be able to mow two weeks after installation. The mower deck should be raised about
1" higher than normal for the first couple mowings because the sod wont be completely rooted
down.

When should I fertilize?

Two or three good feedings a year will keep your lawn in good health. Fertilizer was applied to
your sod before your sod was purchased. Fertilize again in about 8-10 weeks or when your sod
begins to lose its lush color.

Go Green!

Did you know that on a hot summer day, lawns will be 30 degrees cooler than asphalt and 14
degrees cooler than bare soil?

Sod traps and removes dust and dirt from the air.

A well maintained lawn and landscaping can enhance the "curb appeal" - adding as much as
15% to a home's value!
